This blog is going to be a mix of all sorts of stuff. But first I wanted to talk about some super crazy and weird stuff that has happened this week. (hence the title "#WHAT")
To begin, the other day as I was getting my bag out of my locker, this guy came out of now where and punched the locker door. I don't mean he hit it and it made a loud noise and scared me, I mean he punched it hard enough to break his hand! I don't know what the hell he was doing, but it scared me so bad! I looked at him after and was like "dude, what are you doing" "why did you just punch my locker" and he didn't really speak english, but what I got out of the situation was he was showing me how strong he was....! LOL OKAY!
Another thing that is super weird to me, that would never happen in my high school back home is, girls and guys don't give any craps about what bathroom they go into! The girls and guys bathrooms are right next to each other and they are very small, so basically no one cares and guys and girls go in whatever bathroom they want! Hahaha!
Also while we are on the note of school! Here they have the "cafeteria" which is the hangout for students in between classes and on break! But the reason it is called the "cafeteria" is because it's where we can go get coffee!:) Hence the name 'CAFE'teria (café is the french word for coffee). You get the coffee out of this coffee vending machine! It's actually pretty cool and its the first time I've ever seen one, so it kinda blew my mind the first time I used it! I was also surprised to find that the coffee isn't horrible! It's actually pretty good! :)
Now this is just hilarious! So every time I meet someone and they ask me where I'm from and they hear Texas, they automatically start fake ridding a horse! LOL!:) I'm pretty sure everyone thinks for me to get anything accomplished at home, I have to be ridding a horse to do so! Hahaha! Another Texas stereotype, ITS SO HOT THAT EGGS CAN COOK ON OUR CARS! LOLOLOLOL! :)
My friend Renzo asked me this the other day in physics! I told him probably, but i'd never tried it! If I'm being completely honest, some summers I bet that actually could happen! Hahaha!
On tuesday this week my friends and I decided to go and have lunch off campus! (perks of living in a super small town!:)) They kept saying fast food and I got really scared at first because I thought they meant MickyD's! But then I remembered we don't have one in Wittelsheim! hahaha! We ended up going to the burger place called O'malo's and it was really good! (for "fast food") :) I ate there last night too (friday night) with my friend Lucie because we wanted to hang out and by the time we got together it was dinner time!
This week has also been crazy in the test department! I took 3 or 4 tests this week! -_-
Biology, french, spanish and math! It was super funny because I got a better grade than all my friends on the math test! :) safe to say I was very proud! Hahah! I didn't answer a single thing on the french test because I was busy trying to translate the questions and then once I had translated them I couldn't answer them because I'm not reading the book that the test was over! LOL! The biology test I think I could have possible answered one or two questions right, since it was multiply choice and I could sort of read the questions! Then spanish I know I did decent because I can actually understand spanish! However this was my first spanish test that was written in all spanish and french, sooo who really knows! :)
FUNNY STORY OF THE WEEK:
I had a little spill on my bike wednesday morning on my way to school and somehow out of all the body parts I have, I managed to only hurt my left pinky finger! I somehow jammed it to a knew level of jammed fingers! I guess I caught my self with my pinky and it jammed! LOL! :) (Im sure my dad is reading this right now and thinking to him self, "she's a retard/ idiot" LOL:))
I have discovered a new fig that I have never had before and I must find out where Renata/ Wojtek picked them! I call them white figs, because the inside is white, and they are the sweetest most delicious figs I have ever eaten! <3
(Sorry this is my only Pic for this blog):(
On a very happy note I am proud to say that Renata and I are starting to be able to hold conversations were I actually say things back in french! LOL! Nothing very complex, but it is still me talking in french! :)
Today is Saturday, which means it is clean the house/ chores day! Today though I got to do something a little different than my normal saturday morning!:) I worked in the yard with wojtek! We raked up all the prunes that had fallen off the prune tree and then scooped them up into a wheelbarrow, so they could be put in the compost pile! However when I say we raked up all the prunes, you all must know there are two- three (I can't remember exactly at the moment) massive trees and about 10,000 little cherry sized prunes on the ground! It was insane how many we raked up! It was cool though because you could actually see the difference in the yard without all those little devil fruits all over the ground! Im super happy that was what he needed help with, because before we picked them up you couldn't walk back towards the garden without squashing prune all over your feet!
Then later tonight Renata's youth group is coming over for dinner and to hang out. But, before that I'm doing a little French speaking lesson with my rosetta stone!:) Over all it's been a great weekend so far!
I hope everyone is enjoying their's and that you all had a great week!
À Bientôt,

Qweenie, I can't believe how large that fig is! It looks like a lime. Figs and dates are bible food.....they have been around for millenniums! I'm happy to see you are helping with manual labor, it will always make you feel closer to the earth and accomplished like school never can! Never think you will get accustomed to your adventure. Savor every moment and always allow yourself to be covered with amazement! I love that the boy showed his gender through strength......that is so Paleo! Big Hugs, Babee
ReplyDeleteYes babs the figs here are massive and I love them so much! The manual labor was great, I enjoy doing it because it gives me something to do with my host family and I feel useful around the house!:) I did not love the boy showing me his gender in that way, it was weird and scary! LOL!

When we were kids in San Angelo we would fry eggs on our concrete driveway....we didn't eat them, it was just to know "I bet we can fry an egg on the driveway!"
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear that you've done that, it made my whole day when I read this comment! I totally knew that it was possible!:)
