Chao everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a fabulous monday!:)
I was too tired to blog about my sunday adventure last night, so I am doing it tonight! Which is actually better because I have more to say now! (LOL who could have guess!:))
Sunday Renata had made plans to take some of the kids from her youth group to this park called, "Parc Arbre Adventure''. I wasn't really sure what we were doing because all I got out of me and Renata's conversation was we are going to a park, it costs 20 euros to get in and we are leaving at 2:30! This handicap of mine caused me to make some crucial outfit mistakes! LOL!
So turns out this park was actually an adventure park/ Extreme ropes course! It was like something you find in the Costa Rican jungle and they make you sign the waver incase you die! :) Just kidding you couldn't have died unless you were an idiot, but this ropes course was no joke! The weather was kinda nasty when we got there, it was raining and cold, but we decided it was going to be fine.
So all the kids went to pay and get harnesses and equipment to do the course and when we get up there we find out that in order for us to do this course, we have to have someone that is 16 or older to do it with us! Me being the idiot that I am when asked my age I said 15! However being the only English speaking one totally saved my butt, because once I fully realized what was happening I played dumb and acted like I had misunderstood what they were saying and said I was 16! Then they asked for my ID ( which of course I had) but I played dumb once again and said I didn't have it on me and that it was at the house! I only spoke English to the lady, so it was hard for her to understand what I was saying and she really couldn't say no to me. finally she just gave in and said it was fine if I didn't show her my ID! Worked out great! Perks of being a foreigner!:) LOL!
This ropes course was different than anyone I had ever been to because you got to do the course all by yourself/ with your group! But there was no professional person doing it with you! They just show you the tools at the beginning then send you off! I guess that's why you have to have at least one 16 year old! Hahaha I don't think a 16 year old is mature enough to supervise children 100 ft in the air attached to wires, but whatever! LOL! :) No one died or was injured except me and that's cause I am just stupid and clumsy!:)
Here is were we come full circle to the outfit thing! I didn't understand that I was going to be Tarzan at the park. I though we were just going to this cool park to hang out and be outside or something! So I wore this red sweater and black legging pants and my converse! This outfit was okay ish! But I would have been much better off in workout type clothes with a little more room to get messed up and stretched out! Hahaha!
It was super crazy at the end because it started poring while we were on the last course.
The way the park worked was you would start a course and it was basically a set of obstacles 100 ft in the air and you couldn't get off or stop till you reached the end. Then you would go to the next set!
So when it started raining we had no choice but to finish and then sprint back to the building where the adults where waiting! It was funny cause when we got there Wojtek saw me and just laughed and laughed, because I am literally always showing up soaked from having to run/walk/ride something in the rain! LOL!
It was a great experience and I really want to go back on a prettier day when we have more time, so I can do the whole park!:) That night when we got home all anyone could do was lay down! hahaha!:)
MONDAY:
Nothing interesting has happened today I just wanted to talk about some things and they just happen to have came to my attention today!
1. In every small town here there is a beautiful old church in the middle of the town! Here in Wittelshiem, our church clock dings on the hour or hour and then half hour! I'm not sure, but it's awesome because the town is so small and the bell is so loud that you can literally hear it anywhere! It's one of my favorite things about being here! I love it when it goes off!
2. Wojtek is the Crêpe king/ Cake king! He seriously makes the best crêpes ever! OMG! He also makes this really amazing apple cake that is sorta like a pie! I don't know but its amazing! Tonight for dinner he made Ham and cheese crêpes and then for dessert Nutella crêpes! They were so yummy!<3
This week he has also been making these really good breakfasts every morning and they are so pretty that I always take a picture! I have a couple pics on this blog, the pic I took today was on snapchat and I forgot to save it! Grrrrrr! So I just have the pics from last week!
PICTURE TIME
I actually have pics today!!:)
This is from saturday night I just didn't post it on the other blog, because I didn't blog about saturday night, I blogged before it! Ooops!:)
Anyway so this was the fire we made when Renata's group came over! It was a lot of fun!
This was a pic I took with my friend Dimitri
This is the Parc Arbre Aventure! I didn't get any pictures of the park once it got scary and everything was high up in the trees, because I gave Renata my phone! But this is the best pic I got to demonstrate the level of OMG this park created!
I decided to get up close and personal with this leaf
I tried to take a pic of the rain as it splashed on the wood! #attempt at being artsy:)
The clouds were kissing the mountain <3
THE CRÊPE KING
This is the beautiful apple cake
This was just on the back porch and I love how there is always fresh picked things, so I took a pic
These are chestnuts incase you didn't know and here they call them Marron which is the french word for brown! LOL!
Some of the breakfasts Wojtek has made <3
It is also the 1 month anniversary of my exchange and I can't believe that that much time has already passed! At times this exchange feels like it is going to be the longest time and other moments it seems like its going to pass in the blink of an eye! Yesterday it seemed like the fastest month of my life had gone by, yet it was filled with so much fun that I can hardly believe it was only one month! Hahaha!:)
If you guys have any special requests for a post please comment and let me know I am more than happy to let you guys know whatever your curious about! I know I definitely don't get everything I want into to every post! LOL! I would write a book by the time I was finished! :)
Alright time to catch some ZZZZ's
Bonne nuit, salut and au revoir lovelies <3
XOXO
Grace :)
